Meet the Netgear R6300 v2 DD-WRT FlashRouter, a networking centerpiece with power and style for future-proof a WiFi network to next-gen Wireless-AC standards. The latest of our Netgear Wireless-AC DD-WRT Routers prepares your network for all the latest devices while still offering full support for legacy devices (Wireless-G) and providing top level dual band Wireless-N speeds.

Processing is the key to high performance routing and this one has room to burn and grow as streaming video demands become increasigly more intensive. For VPN users, having a large processor is imperative for the constant encryption and decryption the router will perform in this process. The better the processor, the faster the VPN encrypted information can get to you.
The Netgear R6300 v2 is approximately 2/3 the size of its predecessor and has a 33% boost is processor speed. More power and space saving!
At 256 RAM matches the top end of router-based RAM, and offers 128 MB of active flash memory for flashing the most powerful and malleable DD-WRT build around, the Kong AC build. RAM and Flash memory are important to the caching and saving of sites to hasten connectivity to your most frequently visited sites as well. With more processor, more RAM/Flash memory are a must.
The R6300 v2 is the first FlashRouter offering a USB 3.0 port, the high speed method of data transfer and network sharing. A second USB 2.0 port is also included. Use these 2 integrated USB port to attach Network Attached Storage (NAS) backup, a storage device or for creating a network printer. The faster the USB ports, the faster you can do network backups, transfer & share files between devices.

Compatible with Wireless-N/A/B/G/H devices like Xbox One, Smart TV, iPad & PS4s, to old laptops - those looking for high quality HD video streaming or improved Skype video chat/FaceTime, the Netgear R6300 v2 is created to handle it and more!
Manually setting up a VPN service on a router has always been notoriously complicated, frustrating and unnecessarily confusing…. until NOW!
Introducing the FlashRouters Router Privacy App - the simple browser-based solution to connect a VPN service on a router. Just a couple clicks and secure your entire home network.
Developed by the DD-WRT & VPN experts at FlashRouters, the FlashRouters Router Privacy App integrates support for most top VPN services.
The FlashRouters Privacy App works just like an app for Android, Windows or Apple iOS except it’s located on your router. And there is no separate app to install.
However, when you connect to VPN with the FR App, it is not just your computer that you are securing, instead you are securing every device in your home at once. Simply enter your VPN login information, search for your preferred VPN server location, and click Connect to get started.
In many cases you may not want your entire home network to tunnel through your router VPN connection, and so we have also built enhanced VPN management options in the FR Privacy App.
Choose to start the router VPN connection as soon as you connect to the Internet. Reboot your router at any time and automatically restart your VPN connection.
Click the VPN server dropdown list and type in the name or country for your preferred servers to quickly find your desired location.
Worried about IP Address and DNS leaking? Check The Global Kill Switch and the FlashRouter will block Internet access if the VPN connection is inactive. If you ever disconnect or lose connection to your VPN service, the Global Kill Switch will make sure that your ISP IP address does not leak. Checking the box will instantly activate Kill Switch on your FlashRouter.
Instead of setting up your VPN on one device at a time with different instructions for each device, you only need to setup VPN once.
Certain devices like streaming players, gaming systems, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices do not have native support for VPN client connections. These devices need security too, and with the FR Privacy App all devices that connect to your home network can now connect through your VPN service.
If your VPN provider limits the number of simultaneous connections to their service, you can use just 1 connection for a FlashRouter to cover ALL devices in your home with no device connection limit.
By device management in the FR App Options tab to easily enable or disable VPN on any network device with the click of a button.
Instead of listing all servers in alphabetical order, we can create additional sorts for By Country views where users can select the least loaded or server closest to them geographically. This helps VPN providers to properly distribute the bandwidth load in real time across servers. (*For Select Participating VPN Providers)
Get the latest server options and list within the FlashRouters Router Privacy App.(For Select Participating VPN Providers)
App user interface is optimized to be viewed via mobile without need for a separate mobile app install.
Once you establish a VPN connection within the FR App, select any other server from the dropdown list and click Reconnect to quickly update your location. No need to make any manual settings changes.
Easy-to-use toggle setting that tells the FR App to start up the VPN network connection as soon as the router connects to the Internet.
If public certs and private keys are required for user or server authentication, then extra boxes will automatically appear on the main VPN connection page for users to input accordingly.
Most likely you have heard the terms Wireless-N & Wireless-G. Wireless-AC is the latest wireless draft for exponential signal capacity in WiFi market. While Wireless-G tops out at 54 Mbps and Wireless N ranges from 450-900 Mbps, AC pretty much doubles the top end capabilities of Wireless-N.
The Netgear R6300 v2 DD-WRT FlashRouter offers the best possible wireless speeds integrating Wireless-AC wireless speed capacity of 1750 Mbps total (450 2.4 GHz & 1300 5 Ghz) utilizing 6 powerful internal antennas based on one the most powerful router processors you will see.
Combine that power with the DD-WRT added perks of being able to manage wireless transmission power, manage access restrictions, a built-in SPI firewall, a bevy of graphing, logs and monitoring features.
The Netgear R6300 is a very efficient router. I love the sleek, minimalist design. It fits perfectly on my desk, not looking like a clunky piece of machinery. The performance, however, only makes the design more impressive... the power is a mystery to me. Then, the DD-WRT firmware, it's incredible. Using this router, you will have true control over your network. Perfect for anyone looking out for bandwidth hogs.
I can certainly say this is a recommended router. Fantastic speeds, very nice range, and overall great performance. This router works great alongside my Apple Airport Extreme, and using a VPN on my devices has never been easier.
I am very very happy with this purchase. Incredibly fast delivery, great customer support, and a router that works very well. I am completely an amateur when it comes to this stuff, so it was great to have a router flashed for VPN right out of the box!
I am definitely a novice when it comes to this stuff, but I found FlashRouters to offer great customer support- they were extremely helpful! The router is fantastic, too.
Forget spending hours deciphering and testing the DD-WRT forums/website/Wiki for the correct hardware version and proper build only to discover that you've improperly flashed your device and bricked it.
FlashRouters offers what many router manufacturers won't: better firmware plus basic network and VPN service configuration assistance from responsive and highly trained USA tech support that will actually answer your questions.
