Since DD-WRT firmware doesn’t play as nice with some of the newer Linksys models in our testing, the Linksys E3200 ships with the increasingly popular Tomato firmware pre-installed. Offering simultaneous dual band connectivity and Linksys E3200 Tomato FlashRouter offers high end N600 wireless speed capacity (300 2.4 GHz & 300 5 Ghz) utilizing 4 internal antennas.

From my experience, I can say buying a FlashRouter is definitely recommended. The TomatoUSB firmware provides a drastic improvement over the Linksys default firmware, allowing for a plethora of tweaking options to be unleashed. Awesome support and very fast shipping.
Tomato is an amazing firmware. Without a lot of expertise, you can do some rather complicated procedures like using two OpenVPN clients simultaneously or advanced bandwidth monitoring rather easily. And this is a great router to use with Tomato.
Out of all of the routers I've owned, and I've gone through a lot of them, as I typically ended bricking them from heavy use. However, I can tell that this is a router that is going to stick around. A 4 gigabit port, dual band, TomatoUSB router with a warranty and support for less than $150. Fantastic.
This router is definitely worth the price. User friendly, simple setup, and great speeds. I would consider myself a luddite, and had no problem setting up this router myself.
Forget spending hours deciphering and testing the DD-WRT forums/website/Wiki for the correct hardware version and proper build only to discover that you've improperly flashed your device and bricked it.
FlashRouters offers what many router manufacturers won't: better firmware plus basic network and VPN service configuration assistance from responsive and highly trained USA tech support that will actually answer your questions.
