If you’re like us, you took full advantage of Netflix Instant’s full season premiere format last year. When the streaming service debuted the twisty political thriller, House of Cards, we watched several episodes a night, over the course of a few nights, until there was nothing left to watch.
There are certainly advantages of the old format; one episode at a time gives viewers more time to chew over what they saw, and it’s easier to appreciate what a show offers when it’s meted out in more digestible allotments. We understand that viewpoint and don’t entirely disagree with it.
That said, we cant wait to shoot through House of Cards second season when the show returns on February 14th (Happy Valentine’s Day!).
House of Cards: Season 2 on Netflix
How’s that for elliptical? Subtlety has never been one of House of Cards strong suits, but this promo is certainly mysterious enough to make any fan’s imagination reel with possibilities.
For a more straightforward look at House of Cards second season, check out this trailer:
Yes, all of Francis Underwood’s scheming has led him to a pretty high seat of power, but all of that scheming surely left some serious enemies in its wake, whether it’s relentless reporters like Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) and Janine Skorsky (Constance Zimmer), or mysterious Washington power players like Remy Denton (Mahershala Ali). Let’s not forget some of the new faces that could theoretically shake things up.
Regardless, Francis Underwood has proven himself to be a top-tier schemer, and he’s certainly not going to be taken down easily. Frankly (not a pun, we promise), we’re hooked no matter what.

How to Use VPN to Watch Netflix
Of course, as we’ve reminded you again and again, Netflix Instant is not available all over the globe, so if you’re planning on watching the second season of House of Cards from a country without Netflix access, you’re going to need some help.
A VPN service, or Virtual Private Network service, is a subscription-based service designed to bring an impenetrable layer of security to your wireless network. When you log into your VPN, all of your online activity is tunneled through encrypted servers set up all over the world. This means that your sensitive e-mails and credit card numbers are safe from malevolent online forces like hackers, identity thieves, and snooping government agencies.
One of the other great advantages of a VPN service, and one that’s more relevant to the topic at hand, is that a VPN allows you to access geographically restricted websites. When you log in to your VPN, you’re given a choice of servers that span the globe, and if you were to pick an American server, you’d be given an American IP address.
The result is that your computer, laptop, mobile device, etc. will then think it is in America, even if you’re as far away as New Zealand. This allows you to enjoy Netflix Instant from anywhere in the world, and considering how many great new movies Netflix Instant has added in 2014, there’s no better time to get access. If you are using Netflix on a Roku, the only way t integrate VPN on a Roku is to use a VPN router as well.
