I want to praise your excellenct custom Service.
You are making a good Job. Keep on this way. The Router are also awesome.
This is a great router from a great company. Installing Tomato on to a router can be a tricky business, and voiding my warranty on a device I have spent my hard earned money on is not something I'm interested in. FlashRouters provides high-end routers flashed with Tomato firmware, which is a lifesaver. The ability to have two OpenVPN servers stored in the firmware has been very, very helpful.
Since I have gone "off the grid" per say, I have had some trouble connecting to services like Netflix and NFL streaming. Using a subscription to EarthVPN with my FlashRouter, my Smart TV and iPad are not only protected, but I am able to access a world of streaming.
Every landlord has the following 2 problems:
1) You *must* provide internet service in for your tenants these days.
2) After you do that, the complaints start coming in from tenants. "I can't get on the internet."
The problem of tenants not being able to log on is usually one bit-torrent seeding tenant. Bit Torrent seeding takes most of the "upload" bandwidth of a router and a lot of the connections.
The Tomato-based RT-AC66U Asus router FlashRouters sells allows the landlord to *shut down* torrent seeders.
If you can get with a landlord or two in your area -- maybe invite them for a free dinner at a restaurant of their choice, or $50 for 1/2 hour of their time -- ask them how they would expect to be pitched, figure out how to best get the message across: "We can practically eliminate the daily annoying calls from tenants who can't get on your shared Internet."
Every freaking landlord on the planet would buy a Tomato-based RT-AC66U.
It's a huge problem. It's a huge market. It is such a huge problem and FlashRouters can solve it.
As long as the Tomato build is Toastman's build or later, and FlashRouters put it out there to landlords, they wouldn't be able to keep anything in stock.
Every landlord, coffee shop, motel, etc (make a list) that offers a shared internet connection just needs a marketing message like "How to ensure ALL your customers can get on your shared internet connection -- all the time -- and how to stop spending gobs of your time solving 'I can't get on the net' complaints from your customers."
It solves a huge problem.
Sorry this is my MBA and startup experience talking. But there's a huge market out there.
First of all, I was thoroughly please with how ready this router was out-of-the-box. I asked for a StrongVPN build and I was connected within minutes of unpacking it. Good job guys.
Second of all, the router itself is fantastic. It's a hefty price tag but it's built to handle a heavy load and is actually a bit ahead of its time, so this will be a long term investment.
I bought this router for setting up HMA through my Roku 3. It worked perfectly.
The router came faster than expected and was ready to work with my current setup right out of the box. The included instructions for HideMyass were excellent.
I contacted support with one question and they were able to quickly help me out.
Very happy with the router and now I can watch Netflix in the US from Canada. Finally!
Forget spending hours deciphering and testing the DD-WRT forums/website/Wiki for the correct hardware version and proper build only to discover that you've improperly flashed your device and bricked it.
FlashRouters offers what many router manufacturers won't: better firmware plus basic network and VPN service configuration assistance from responsive and highly trained USA tech support that will actually answer your questions.
